Man O' War is a family-owned winery at the eastern end of Waiheke Island, in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf. It takes its name from Man O' War Bay, said to have been named by Captain Cook for the tall kauri trees there, suited to the masts of Royal Navy ships.

Its vineyards are planted on steep, sea-facing slopes with varied volcanic and clay soils, which give the wines their concentration and character.
