Absolut Tabasco 50ml

Absolut Tabasco is a chilli-flavoured vodka made by Absolut in Åhus, Sweden, in partnership with the makers of TABASCO sauce. It is flavoured with an essence made from the fermented, aged red pepper mash used for TABASCO sauce, has no added sugar and is bottled at 38%. This is the 50ml miniature.

The two brands launched the vodka together in February 2026 across more than 50 markets. TABASCO sauce comes from Avery Island in Louisiana, where the red pepper mash is aged before it becomes the sauce. That same mash gives this vodka its heat, which Absolut and TABASCO describe as clean, with a gradual, warming build that lifts a drink without taking over. As with the rest of the Absolut flavoured range, no sugar is added.

The 50ml size is a cheap way to try it before committing to a full bottle, or to make one or two drinks. It holds about 1.5 New Zealand standard drinks. It also suits gift hampers, a Christmas stocking or a brunch where only one person wants the spicy option.

The obvious serve is a Bloody Mary: 50ml Absolut Tabasco, 120ml tomato juice, a squeeze of lemon, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, stirred over ice with a celery stick. The brand also suggests a spicy lemonade, simply the vodka over ice topped with lemonade and a lime wedge. It works in a spicy Margarita-style sour, too. Serve it alongside oysters, tacos or barbecue.
