Description
Nemiroff Vodka is a Ukrainian vodka from Nemiroff, made at the company’s plant in the town of Nemyriv, here in a 500ml bottle. The brand traces its story to 1872, when Count Grigory Stroganov opened the first Nemiroff vodka factory there.

Nemyriv has a long link with wheat vodka: Nemiroff points to a record of wheat vodka being made in the town as far back as 1797. Stroganov’s factory of 1872 was the largest in the region at the time, and a modern distillery followed in 1992. Nemiroff says production has carried on through the war in Ukraine, and the brand is now sold in more than 50 countries, with around 69 million bottles a year. It calls itself Ukraine’s leading vodka exporter.
The Nemiroff range covers classic grain vodkas such as Original and De Luxe as well as flavoured bottlings like Honey Pepper. A half-litre bottle is the traditional size in Eastern Europe for sharing at a table, and it is a sensible amount for a dinner, a small party or a first try of the brand.
Keep it in the freezer and pour it neat and ice cold into small glasses, the Ukrainian way, with food on the table. Pickled vegetables, salo, smoked fish, dark rye bread and cold meats are classic partners. For mixed drinks, use it in a vodka soda with lime, a Moscow Mule with ginger beer or a Bloody Mary. Store the bottle sealed and upright.
