The finish showcases the earthy, black-fruited character typical of premium Central Otago Pinot Noir.

Rua Pinot Noir comes from Central Otago, New Zealand's southernmost wine region, specifically from the Bannockburn and Pisa sub-regions. The Skeggs family owns six vineyards totalling 90 hectares in these acclaimed cool-climate areas, allowing them to select parcels ideally suited to their accessible Pinot Noir style. The family were among the first to recognise Central Otago's potential during the mid-1990s.

Rua Pinot Noir's medium body and juicy fruit profile pairs beautifully with grilled salmon, roasted duck breast or mushroom risotto. The wine's earthy, savoury notes also complement herb-crusted lamb, chicken with wild mushrooms, or charcuterie featuring mild cheeses. Its balanced acidity and smooth tannins make it versatile enough for both lighter proteins and richer preparations.

This Central Otago Pinot Noir complements dishes featuring earthy flavours like truffle pasta, roasted root vegetables or beetroot salads.
