Scapegrace launched ThunderDonk as its first step into flavoured whisky, made at its distillery on the banks of Lake Dunstan near Cromwell. The range started with Salted Caramel and Spiced Maple, both built on the distillery’s own aged single malt, and Campfire Coffee joined later as the darker, coffee-led member of the family. Where Salted Caramel is all dessert and Spiced Maple leans to warm spice, Campfire Coffee is the one for anyone who likes a coffee liqueur but wants a whisky backbone. It is made in small batches in Central Otago.
