Misunderstood was started by two close friends, JD and Chris, who began working on the idea in their kitchens in Montclair, New Jersey. The whiskey is built on a high-corn blend of selected bourbon and American whiskey aged in American oak barrels. It is then finished with two different types of real ginger, so you get the warmth of the root alongside the usual caramel and vanilla of a corn-led whiskey.
